Instant HotZones Installed Anywhere & Everywhere

The advent of broadband wireless networking has made it easier and less expensive to provide "triple play" data, voice and video communications throughout an entire metropolitan or rural area.
Wireless mesh networking in particular holds the greatest promise owing to its superior scalability, reliability, and ease of deployment and operation over other wireless technologies.

The HotPort® High Performance Mesh Network has been designed to meet the many demanding requirements of large-scale metro area applications.  The use of tri-band spectrum radios minimizes radio interference to expand coverage without sacrificing performance. The AutoMeshTM protocol allows the mesh to form automatically, and overcomes line-of-sight barriers that can cripple other wireless solutions.  Seamless operation outdoors and indoors allows the network to extend into public facilities, such as administrative buildings, stadiums and convention centers.  And where wiring does exist, the EthernetDirect feature allows for use of a full-duplex 10/100 Mbps link to enhance performance even further.
A HotPort mesh environment can scale up to 1000 nodes using the MeshBridgeTM feature to interconnect multiple mesh networks that may operate on different frequencies or channels, and/or serve separate applications or venues.  The entire mesh infrastructure can be managed centrally using the intuitive HotView ProTM Mesh Management Software.  The MultiMeshTM capability makes it possible for a single authorized administrator to manage multiple mesh networks from a single screen.  Or multiple administrators can be assigned different privileges for one or more mesh networks.  With the remarkably versatile HotPort mesh network, there is almost no challenge too great - and no application too big (or small) - to handle cost-effectively.

HotZones and HotRegions - Seamlessly connect multiple HotSpots to provide Internet access virtually anywhere:  indoors and outdoors in downtown districts, community centers, recreational facilities, convention centers, parks, entertainment venues, and other public gathering locations.

Community Access Networks  - Easily and affordably provide network access in civic, cultural and educational institutions, and even in residential neighborhoods.  The network can be "private" with restricted access, or public with open access to any and all resources, including the Internet.

Video Monitoring and Surveillance - The HotPort wireless mesh network is ideal for enhancing public safety with around-the-clock video surveillance.  Digital video cameras can be installed wherever needed.  The multiple real-time video feeds are then delivered simultaneously to a central location for monitoring and/or recording.

Temporary/Portable Networks - The only thing easier than setting up a HotPort mesh network is taking one down.  And moving a mesh to another location is just as easy.  Which is why mesh networking makes sense for many temporary or portable networking needs, including fairs and festivals, sporting events and concerts, special productions and parades, or even the unexpected emergency somewhere.

Firetide Advantages

Eliminates the need to install, maintain, and sometimes re-pull or relocate costly network cabling, or utilize expensive leased line services.  Which means no more trenching - ever!

Operates seamlessly indoors and outdoors in office buildings and wide open spaces, including parks, atriums, government or commercial facilities, downtown centers, business districts, bus stops, train stations, and more.

Minimizes interference with Wi-Fi access points and overcomes line-of-sight obstacles to provide maximum deployment flexibility when used in large-scale applications.

Delivers high performance with traffic prioritization to handle data/Internet access, voice over IP (VoIP) communications, and video monitoring or surveillance applications - all simultaneously and securely.

Provides industry-leading low total cost of ownership (TCO) based on a relatively modest capital expenditure and minimal on-going operational expenditures.
